Accelerated Reader is a computerized comprehension program for all students in our district.  Students read books and take a computerized test on such book.  The program awards points based on percent correct and difficulty of the book.  Students are then awarded prizes and recognition based on the number of accumulated points.  This program is a favorite among students, teachers, and parents.  The teachers of West Carroll Parish believe this program has been a significant factor in the raising of test scores in the parish.
