When it comes to the Eye of the Tiger Award it means more to me than any other award I have received here at Oak Grove. I couldn’t be prouder that my coaches have selected me to receive this award.
I know that this upcoming football season will be hard for me. I have dedicated the past seven years of my life to Oak Grove football and not having it will be a significant change for me. The team recently started two a days and for the first time I actually miss them. I also just miss the locker room and hanging out with my brothers everyday. I cannot wait to watch them win a state championship this season.
I also will greatly miss baseball this upcoming spring. Since there was only about twenty people on the team we were always like a close family. I know they will do great things this next year.
I have learned so much from Oak Grove Athletics in my four years. Not only have I learned how to properly tackle or catch a fly ball but I have learned how to be a better man. The examples set by my coaches have taught me so much. They have helped shape me into who I am today. Coach Gregory always says the number one thing he wants us to walk away with is a stronger relationship with God. From the devotions to team church I firmly believe that he has helped.
?Lastly I would like to thank each and every coach I have had from junior high to high school. I have learned so much from each of you. I love and appreciate you all.
